Sneaking around.

The Child is hiding in this cutscene. Good luck spotting him!

Introduction[]

Don't Knock It is the 9th cutscene in the game Run 3 or 8th cutscene if you are not counting the optional cutscene Batteries. This is a minor cutscene.

Plot[]

After beating Level L-5, a cutscene will begin featuring the Angel and the Skater.

The Angel, from the start of Level L-4, watches the Skater make multiple unsuccesful attempts to complete the level. Each time, the Skater is too fast due to his skates.

After observing the Skater fall several times, the Angel eventually runs in front of him to stop him as he respawns. The Skater tells him to get out of the way, but the Angel persists in blocking the Skater. He argues that the Skater's skates "make his life harder", and that he'll "have an easier time if he slows down." The Skater responds, "Skating is fun! Don't knock it until you try it," and proceeds to skate through the level. The Angel watches him go, saying to himself, "You know, some of us use tools to solve problems..."

Note[]

If you look carefully, you can see the Child hiding on the background of this cutscene. He is near the Skater, during his jump on the platforms in the second frame.

Trivia[]

  • "Don't knock it" comes from the phrase "Don't knock it 'till you've tried it", which means one shouldn't set themselves against something unless they have done it already. This can be seen as ironic, since the Angel is also a fast character.
