Introduction[]

The Way Onwards is a tunnel in Run 3. It becomes available after finishing the Bridge Building minigame. It is one of the few tunnels consisting of conveyor tiles (the others being the I-Tunnel, the H-Tunnel, and the C-Tunnel so far).

This tunnel's conveyor tiles only consist of accelerating or slowing you down, which is much easier in contrast to the aforementioned tunnels.

Unlike the Way Back, the characters you have don't have much variety. You only have your two early characters and their costumes, and, if you've saved up enough power cells, the Student. Learn the ins and outs of these characters and costumes, you'll need even the slightest difference in stats for certain levels.

Gameplay[]

In this tunnel, there are 9 levels in total, and all of them include the conveyor tiles, which is a new feature that hasn't been seen in all the previous levels, and they don't appear in any tunnels except this one, H-Tunnel, I-Tunnel, and C-Tunnel. This feature may continue in later tunnels that branch off the three tunnels.

When you are running on the conveyor tiles, they increase your speed considerably, and this becomes both an advantage and two disadvantages. You can jump farther with the increasing speed, which is a good thing, but in the downside, if you jump too far away and overshoot (which is very common in some levels, such as Level N-1), you can fail the level easily. The increasing speed can also decrease your maneuverability.

Plot[]

There are two cutscenes in this tunnel. More information can be found on the Story page.

Truancy[]

After beating Level N-9, a cutscene will begin showing a conversation between the Skater and the Student. The Skater asks why she doesn't want to go home and she responds that if she doesn't figure how the tunnels work, someone else will take the glory. The Student then asks the Skater why he isn't going home and he responds that he thinks school is boring and says that he is going to skip a few years of school. The Student opposes, saying that school doesn't work like that.

Crossing the Gap[]

After you use the Student to collect a number of boxes in the Bridge Building minigame, when you push the 3rd box to the rendezvous point in B-13, you will meet the Runner with a pile of ringed boxes. Then she asks the Student if that's enough, and the Student says it is. Runner still thinks it is not enough since they can meet another large gap like this, but the Student says she planned ahead too much and says she doesn't want to collect a hundred more boxes. The Runner agrees and they jump on top of the boxes and reach Tunnel N-1.
