Introduction[]

Formerly referred to as Runaway3D, this version of Run 3 was the first HTML5 port of the game and was never completed. It's purpose was to create a new environment for the game as Adobe Flash was then soon to be shut down. As of current, three websites officially host it: Coolmath, Poki, and Player03's website.

Gameplay[]

This version of Run 3 is mostly feature complete but currently lacks the Pastafarian (and on Poki and Player03's website, the Duplicator) as well as access to several tunnels and the minigames. This version otherwise only has minor differences, such as:

  • Every character has increased strafing speed.
  • An experimental upgrade in the shop, allowing characters to balance on tile edges (change gravity on them). The farther into the game, the more characters will learn to use it. With the current tunnels available, the ability can only be used by the Runner, Skater, Bunny, and Angel.
  • The tiles are now beveled or slightly rounded. This is easiest to see in Level 1, where the caution tiles are very clearly rounded.

Bugs[]

Since this version was in beta, there are many bugs in it that aren't in the Flash version.

Achievement Related Bugs:

  • The game will crash if you try to enter the achievements page before earning an achievement in your current play session. Re-earning Infinite Mode achievements counts.
  • Since the T-Tunnel is restricted in this version, A Glimpse of New Places seemingly shouldn't be obtainable. Clicking on it's icon on the achievements page, however, sends you into T-1; letting you earn it should you go through the rest of the T-Tunnel in one sitting.
  • If you stay on the ground for even just 2 frames you will be disqualified from earning This Side Up. The only way to earn it in this version, then, is by mashing jump at the start of the level and buffering every single jump from then onwards. The majority of this achievement can be done with full jumps if you activate the Skater's "rage mode".
    • A similar issue occurs in Straight Forward - except you aren't restricted to any one character. Since the Bunny automatically jumps as soon as they touch the ground there is little issue obtaining the achievement with them.
  • Hat Trick requires you to play Level 2 as the Gentleman. The game will crash if you try to play Level 2 as the Gentleman. A similar error occurs at high distances in Infinite Mode.
    • It won't crash, however, if you enter a level in the Main Tunnel (that isn't Level 2) and then tap the previous or next buttons to set your level to Level 2.
  • Only 77/88 achievements are obtainable as a result of various bugs and missing levels.

Bunny Barrier Glitch: The Bunny will continually jump up vertical barriers - as if climbing them. This can be most obviously seen with the barrier in Level 1 when rotated - but can also happen with boxes.

Infinite Mode Respawns: If you respawn in Infinite Mode, sometimes you will spawn outside the tunnel.

Reverse Inverse: Only the order of the levels is flipped when playing Explore Mode levels in reverse. The layouts are unchanged.

Crumbling Backwards: Touching the crumbling tiles of any level you play backwards will result in the game immediately crashing.

Holiday Crasher: The holiday skins for Power Cells do not properly load. Any attempts at playing Infinite Mode during these holiday events will crash the game. Consider it Player_03's Christmas present.

Bold text in My Turn: The last quote of My Turn ("How come everyone already wants to go home?"), has too much bold text ("How come everyone already wants to go home?").

Spinning: Regardless of what version of the game you're playing on, if any character goes 10 seconds without hitting a tile, the player will lose control of the character and they will start spinning. This is what happens in Wind Sailor. For whatever reason, a bug with this mechanic on the HTML5 version allows players to begin spinning in the center of the tunnel if they preform a precise set of inputs and hold the Right button down for a long time. This bug, in theory, would allow players to beat Explore Mode tunnels without pressing anything. It has been used to cover unreasonably far distances in Infinite Mode, as seen here.
