The Angel said "Let's do this," and slammed the gas pedal as we drove recklessly from the Psycho (or what looked like him).

But then, we hit a dead end. And it was a wall of scrapped-up cars and entire buildings.

We looked behind, and the pitch black Psycho-like person was already making its way towards us.

We have nowhere to run.

Yet.

Chapter 2: Stuck, or Not?[]

POV: The Human[]

We were stuck, with the pitch black alien crawling up on our car, knife in hand.

I pulled out a glowing purple crystal.

When I clutched it tightly, it turned into a suppressed pistol.

I shot at the pitch black thing, but to no avail.

The bullets went inside and didn't go back out.

Seems like it can take a full mag dump. And I only have 30 bullets left. Shit.

It came on top of the car, and tried to stab me.

I quickly changed the gun to a knife, and did the same.

I held back its knife with mine, but not for long.

The knife slipped from my grasp, and the thing stabbed me deep in the stomach, even going through it.

It hurt like hell, I didn't know what to do to stop the pain. It was definitely a special knife of some type.

I kicked it off the car, and gave the Angel an idea on how to get rid of the thing.

While I was, another alien with a metal hat was beckoning for us to go with them.

I gave the Angel a heavy rock, and we all got out of the car after the Angel drove it pretty far backwards, directly facing the wreckage.

He put the rock on the gas pedal, and we ran to the other alien.

The car rammed into the wreckage, and blew up with the thing in it.

We got rid of it, at least for now.

But then I realized something.

I asked the kid with the balloon, "Where's your bunny?"

Then he realized, "Oh no, where is it?"

The Duplicator said "It has to be somewhere, let's follow that other person."

That alien's name was the Engineer, as we heard.

She took us underground to a dimly lit room, with lots of metal scrap and thrown away technology.

And amidst all that, was a blue alien-shaped robot.

POV: Child[]

That robot looked so cool, even though it was a bit banged up!

"Can I call it Techno Robot, because of how cool it is?"

The Engineer looked like she was already annoyed "Uhm, sure? But I've made other robots that might be cooler to you, they just got destroyed."

"Awww, I woulda wanted to see those!"

"It's okay, I can make all of them if I survive these mass killings across the Planet. Let's try and see if we can turn this piece of junk on."

I thought that was rude, so I said "Hey, don't call it a piece of junk! It's a living thing and it's cool!"

Dad taught me something and said "Robots are machines, so they don't have an actual brain. Even if it's active, it won't be offended by anything anyone says."

The Engineer pushed a green button on the robot's head.

The "eye" (which was actually a camera to capture what's going on) opened up a bit to show a light blue glow, but closed.

The weird tall guy got a purple crystal and touched Techno Robot with it.

The robot glowed purple for a moment, and faded.

The Angel in frustration said "Just work already!" and pounded the Techno Robot with his fist.

The Engineer said "This is my technology, you know that right?"

Angel said "Well if you wanna show us something that this thing can do, then it has to turn on quickly."

As expected, the robot fully turned on.

The boring part was that it didn't say anything. There was some whirring noise as the Techno Robot turned the upper half of its body.

So I asked the Engineer "Does it speak?"

She replied with "I couldn't add a voice machine, so I did some quick thinking and added a machine that lets it speak Morse Code. Took a while to understand and read, but it was worth it."

"What's Horse Code?"

"It's Morse Code. It's a series of short beeps that can be extended to make words and numbers."

"Sounds boring. Hey Techno Robot, say hi."

The Techno robot made a bunch of incomprehensible beeps in which the Engineer told me meant hi.

Dad said "Back at the tunnels, the Student understands Morse Code. I think if we send a message to the satellite that the Runner built, the Student can understand it and inform everyone that everyone in our city is dead and they can come and help us!

Engineer thought of what Dad said and realized "Hey, that's a great idea! However, you can see that one of the Robot's antennae are broken, so the signal will be weak and quiet. Let's get to the highest place possible and send the signal. But first. I want to show the kid something."

We all went upstairs, and the Engineer said "Is this your bunny?"

I couldn't believe it! She took care of my bunny when it went missing. I ran over and hugged it.

The human pat it, but my bunny gave him a nip to the leg.

I said "Hey bunny, I don't trust him but don't do that, okay? He seems to be a nice guy."

The human said "It's okay, kid. As a guy who ends up in fights a lot at home, I get that a lot from animals."

"Sounds hard."

"It is."

"s q u e a k"

Engineer said "Not to ruin the reunion-cuddle moment but we have to tell them now."

"Oh, okay."

We followed her and Techno Robot to the very top of her building.

I'm scared of heights, and I lost my balloon, so I didn't want to fall and die.

Dad held me close.

Engineer said "Okay robot, send a message saying 'Everyone is dead, come home now.'"

Meanwhile in the Tunnels...[]

POV: Student[]

I'm studying Runner's satellite right now, and there's no signal, or message from anyone right now. I've been waiting a really long time for someone to talk to us from home.

Finally, I hear static.

I call Runner and she comes over to the satellite.

Suddenly, we hear beeps.

The Runner asked "Is that Morse Code?"

"I think so. I need to hear what's being said."

After comprehending everything, I said to the Runner in shock.

"We have to go home. Tell everyone. Now."
