The 3rd and final book to the Fight for the planet series.
Detective's POV:
It's been a year since Neutralist was arrested. Everything was supposed to get better after that but..it didn't much. There was a debate on who could and couldn't be trusted..and many other debates Dem would not be happy with. Heh..I miss her..if only I didn't pull the trigger. She would still be alive and happy. I am now in my room in my house, reading a book.
*Knock knock*
"? Hello?"
No answer. I pick up the knife I have on the nightstand near my bed. The past few years made me cautious and I started keeping a weapon close to me. I walked over the door and opened it.
"Um..Who are you?.."
???:"I'll explain later."
Then he grabbed my arm and pulled me out the door.
"Hey!! Let go!"
I tried stabbing whoever it was with my knife..but he knocked it out of my hand and shoved me into the trunk of a car. Before I knew it..I was in the trunk of a random stranger's car, going to who knows where. I remember there's usually a lever to pull for emergencies.
"Has to be in here somewhere.."
Found it! I grabbed onto it and pulled it out. The trunk opened, revealing that we're leaving the city and going I don't even know where..and I do not want to find out. I jumped as soon as I heard the car stopping.
???:"Hey!"
Ow ow ow..I think I sprained my wrist. I scrambled up and ran as I screamed, trying to get somebody's attention. I thought I could get away but..
It didn't work. He caught up to me and grabbed onto the back of my jacket. I screamed and tried fighting back until I heard him say something that was pretty odd.
???:"Be quiet. The enemy will hear you."
Before I could respond to that..He covered my mouth and nose with a rag covered with sleeping medicine. I felt myself blacking out as he dragged me back into the car.
Everything went dark.
